Character Trading Cards

We will be finishing up our mini unit on characters soon. Students will be making a Character Trading Card about one of the characters from a story they have been reading. Here is the sheet they will fill out. I will post some pics when they are completed!

Love the trading card! What a cute idea!!! I also love the font you used to for the bottom part of the worksheet. It looks like you created it in Pages. Do you mind me asking what font you used?

What a clever idea. I'm going to try that out with my own Grade 2 class. I am completely new to the teacher blogging world. Please come by and check out my new freebie. www.savvyteachingtips.blogspot.com

I did make them in pages! The font I used was CK Primary. We use Handwriting without tears, so there is a double line at the bottom. My students loved these. We used the graphic organizer a second time and they drew and wrote about the character they were going to be for Halloween. Then they made a paper doll of their character. We read the description aloud and the students tried to guess which character it was!

Thanks for letting me know! What a great extension idea for Halloween. Thanks again! I'm super appreciative. Not sure what your reading series is, but here's a link to my school website. I've created a ton of resources for the Storytown Series, as well as other second grade stuff. Check it out if you get a chance.
